13 32. In addition, risk questionnaires were circulated to private sectors to gather information, both quantitative and qualitative, to aid in comprehensive assessments of the ML, TF and PF risks. Feedback on the questionnaires was used to inform the assessment results. NRA Process 33. The process of a risk assessment can be structured into a series of activities or stages. The Kingdom of Bahrain’s NRA process is divided into three stages. Preparation Stage This stage primarily focuses on the consolidation of the qualitative and quantitative collected data which is derevied from the relevant authorities. The data collected was based on questionnaires prepared by the AML/CFT Committee . In addition, this stage included bilateral meetings with the relevant AML/CFT/CPF stakeholders including the private sector. Assessment Stage The second stage of the NRA is the assessment and analysis phase of the risk factors. Gathered qualitative and quantitative information and data were analyzed by the NRA working groups to identify the risks in the sectors. The overall risks were determined using the World Bank tool. The input variables are weighted based on their signifcance and vulnerability level, area, product, etc. Finalization Stage The third and final stage of the NRA is the finalization stage, which focuses on the review of the final risk assessment results and designing a risk-based action plan to address the weaknesses and gaps identified. Accordingly, the identified priorities contribute to the development of a national strategy for their mitigation .
